Katrina Lovin is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She started her career as a Medical Assistant at the age of 24. Katrina went on to achieve her dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse, working in different specialties within her community. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing in Family Practice. She is currently practicing in a clinic in the Phoenix area providing diverse care in chronic care, acute care, women’s health, men’s health, preventative medicine and behavioral health care. She has always had a passion for mental health and the stigma surrounding it. It was in her training experiences in the hospital setting and the clinic setting that reignited her passion to provide quality care to every patient regardless of their socioeconomic status. She encourages her patients to talk, she listens, together they build a plan. In her free time, she enjoys a good work out session, spending time with her family and friends, especially her dogs, Monroe (goldendoodle) and Penelope (Chiweenie). You might also find her face deep in a book, whether it be continuing education, fiction or self-help books, she enjoys the freedom that comes with reading.
Emotional pain is not something that should be hidden away and never spoken about. There is truth in your pain, there is growth in your pain, but only if it’s first brought out into the open. — Steven Aitchison
