Kathy Hunter is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of Michigan with a Master of Science in Nursing at Wayne State University. She is involved in her local National Alliance on Mental Illness chapter to advocate for policy changes which will, in time, eliminate systemic and social barriers that those with mental illness and their families face. She provides person-centered care, putting the patient's interests at the forefront of the treatment plan. She is passionate about removing stigma and focusing on health disparities in the marginalized populations. In her spare time she can be found relaxing with her family and friends and her two maltipoos Benny and Lucy (referred to as "the babies").
