Kathy Chastain is a board certified, Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her graduate degree from the University of South Carolina and began her professional career in two thousand three. She has had very diverse professional experiences and finds the inclusion of cultural diversity paramount to her practice. She also has an adventuresome spirit and lived and practiced in the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands. She has worked in Alaska and Louisiana and is now residing and working in Arizona as she was drawn to its diverse culture.
She has experience with all psychiatric disorders and is adept, comfortable, and respectful with regards to race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, substance abuse, addictions, and has understanding of unique challenges that people face whether chronic or situational as has sought and received psychiatric care, herself.
Her patients, colleagues, friends describe her as having an energy about herself that puts others at immediate ease. She is compassionate, kind, knowledgeable, insightful, and loves. She is human and has a quick and loving sense of humor.
