Karen Mullins is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She started her career working as a Registered Nurse for the local Community Services Board, in their Behavioral Health Clinic, serving clients with mental health and addiction issues. In addition, Karen spent several years as a behavioral health nurse working for Home Health, in rural Northern Virginia. She furthered her education at Old Dominion University obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing.
Karen’s desire is to make quality affordable healthcare (including mental health care) available to people wherever they are. Care and compassion for her patients are among her key strengths as well as her listening ear. She has strong faith in God and enjoys attending church and helping her community. Hiking and camping provide Karen an outlet to relax and recenter.
