Jennifer Puent is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She started her path in healthcare at the age of 16 when she joined the medical academy while still in high school. Jennifer earned her Masters in Nursing almost a decade ago and took her first nursing job in the Medical ICU at Northwestern Memorial Hospital downtown Chicago. Jennifer worked in multiple Intensive Care Units and Emergency Departments at major trauma centers across the country. She then went on to receive a Post Master's Certificate as a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She has worked in many diverse settings as a NP including Urgent Care, Family Medicine, and Community Health. Her training and experience has taken her as far as South America to very rural and impoverished areas of the US to major metropolitan areas motivating her drive to provide access to high quality healthcare to anyone and everyone. Jennifer became a mother during the Covid-19 pandemic while living across the country away from most of her loved ones. She understands how difficult the post partum journey can be and is passionate about helping mothers and their family members cope with significant changes and life stressors. In her free time, you can find her in her garden trying to grow healthy food for her family, chasing after her two year old, eating one too many pastries, or just laying in the grass staring up at the sky.
The question is not what you look at, but what you see. -Henry David Thoreau
