Jennifer Colvin is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She began her career as a Registered Nurse working in a Neurology unit of a hospital located in a rural area. She served as a charge nurse for 5 years and worked with patients with a variety of medical illnesses in an acute setting. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing Degree and began working as a Nurse Practitioner in the Washington, DC area. She has worked with a diverse group of patients and has experience in a variety of areas including neurological disorders, sleep disorders, and mental health. Her work and experience in rural setting as well as large metropolitan areas has given her a diverse perspective of disparities in access to healthcare. She is passionate about providing high-quality and affordable mental health care access to all patients regardless of location. In her free time, she can be found hiking local trails, exploring National Parks, swimming, and rescuing animals. She currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and enjoys spending time with her 3 cats, Tigre, Macy, and Smokey.
