Psychiatry has been a natural fit for James Brown throughout his professional career. He has been a registered nurse since 1995, became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) in 2015; he returned to Rush University in 2019 for a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). James has been married for 20+ years to a OB/GYN, they enjoy spending time with their numerous parrots, dogs and cats.
