George Ojewale is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He started his career in a medical and post-surgical unit and after several years of working in acute care, he proceeded to obtain his Master of Science degree in Nursing with a specialty in Family Medicine. He works at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in his community providing pain management and preoperative evaluation to patients.
George decided to pursue a Post Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health because while working as a Nurse Practitioner, he saw that it was challenging for people with mental health disorders to get the help they need due to lack of adequate advanced health care providers in the field. George is passionate about providing quality mental and holistic healthcare to all patients and decreasing the stigma associated with mental illness. His goal is to contribute to helping patients with mental health disorders live productive and meaningful lives. In his free time, George enjoys working out, spending time with his family, exploring new places, and empowering and mentoring the youths in his community.
