With a reputation for being one of the most compassionate physicians, Dr. Flavia Thomas is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to her patients. Dr. Thomas earned her Bachelors degree in Biology from Prairie View A&M University in 1991 and a Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. She completed her residency at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan in 1999. She has been in private practice as a board certified physician for over 21 years. She remains true to her Osteopathic training which emphasizes education, prevention, and treating the whole person. She considers all factors that can influence your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
In addition to her medical practIce, Dr. Thomas counsels patients living in group homes. She has a strong desire to assist people with the challenges of daily living. She is passionate about mental health and believes everyone should have access to resources when it comes to mental health care. She is a good listener and her patients seem to feel comfortable confiding in her.
When she is not caring for her patients you will find Dr. Thomas in her kitchen creating gourmet meals, dabbling in interior design, traveling abroad, or enjoying a good game of basketball.
