Felicia Persaud is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. She started her career at the age of 20 as a Nurse's assistant in a behavioral health hospital. She went on to complete her Registered Nursing Degree and worked in the Emergency Department in several hospitals across New York State where she learned most of her skills. She then went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing in Education and served as A Nurse Educator for the Emergency Department and an Adjunct professor at a prestigious University in New York City. Her training experiences in large, underserved communities highlighted the limited access to health care ignited a passion to provide access to quality mental health care no matter the situation of the patient. This passion further intensified when working frontline during the pandemic where she experienced a countless number of patients who could not gain access to vital therapies.
