Dawn Kempen is a board-certified nurse practitioner. Her medical career has been driven by her desire to learn and grow, to understand the world through other’s eyes. After obtaining her Associate Degree in Science- Registered Nurse, she continued to advance her degree while raising a family. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing and has a clinical background in Intensive Care, Oncology, Dialysis, Hospice, and Post-acute and long-term care. Her philosophy of care is to treat people and not patients; a person and not a medical condition. She believes in meeting others where they are at in life, to provide care that respects each person as a unique individual. Outside of her career, Dawn enjoys volunteering as a Family Readiness Group Advisor for her husband’s Army unit. She is understanding of and relatable to the trials and tribulations of military life and embraces the philosophy of “finding the good.” She also has a passion for traveling, adores the color pink and has enough funny “mom moment” stories, to keep you laughing for days.
