A local resident of Houston, TX, Cynthia Nwokocha, APRN-CNP is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She first obtained her Associates of Arts in General Studies from San Jacinto College in Houston, TX. Then, She had her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She also earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. She had started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant where she worked mostly in behavioral health facilities and acute care settings for 5 years before becoming a registered nurse. She has practiced as a Registered Nurse for over 11 years, totaling 16 years experience in the healthcare industry. She has an extensive experience in Behavioral Health, acute care, care management and travel nursing. She currently works in an Internal Medicine Primary Care Practice seeing clients from age 13 years and up providing a wide range of services ranging from management of acute and chronic health conditions including behavioral health conditions.
She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Association of American Nurse Practitioners, the Nigerian American Nurse Practitioners of America, and the Black Nurses Rock Association. Cynthia has been an active volunteer in her community both locally and internationally especially in area of medical outreach programs. She works in collaboration with other interdisciplinary medical team, and advocates for all your healthcare needs. She will go beyond to help support your health goals.
