Christina Williamson is a 48 year old single mother of 1 teenage son. She has practiced hospital medicine for all of her career as a Nurse Practitioner. She admits patients to the behavioral health unit at her current hospital and has had the experience of hearing first hand the struggles that patients' are experiencing with their mental health. Community connections for mental health patients are so important and sorely needed. She talks to her patients often about emotional honesty, triggers and how staying connected can help them through difficult times in life. The field of mental health is complex but when in an optimal state can add balance to this crazy world. In her spare time she loves to swim and cook! Her son enjoys home cooking and "sit down" meals which is tough with a busy hospital schedule. She also loves to travel and she adores comedy shows. Her son plays competitive basketball so they run a very tight schedule. She is always looking for different ways to add flexibility to her work schedule so they both can do the things they love.
