Dr. Carol Cassedy is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She began her career as a certified nursing assistant in various clinical settings. She went on to complete her undergraduate and doctoral degrees in nursing at the University of Louisville, earning a fellowship with the Trager Institute and scholarships for non-traditional students entering psychiatric mental health nursing. She has worked with people across the lifespan in many clinical settings in both urban and rural settings. Her experience coupled with her desire to provide the best evidence-based care has sustained her passion for providing access to affordable, quality mental healthcare regardless of where a patient lives. In her free time, you can find Dr. Cassedy working on her sustainable farm caring for apple and blueberry orchards, garlic, shallots and lavender, or restoring the natural springs dotting the property and maintaining the woods and meadows for wildlife.
