Carey Rivinius is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She started her career as an EMT in high school and college. She completed a bachelor's degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse in an ICU followed by working as a charge nurse in a Critical Access Hospital in rural North Dakota. She completed a nurse practitioner program with a master's degree in 2008 from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and a doctorate degree in 2016 from Frontier Nursing University of Hyden, KY. She has worked in rural health in the emergency department, hospital and primary care clinic. Carey's experience in rural health evoked a passion to provide people with mental health care. In her free time, you can find Carey competing in barrel racing at rodeos and riding horse with her kids.
