Carey Krause is a board-certified nurse practitioner. After obtaining a Bachelors in Nursing at The University of South Florida she worked as a registered nurse in a cardiac step-down unit. She then went on to complete her Masters degree as a nurse practitioner at South University and has worked in many diverse areas of practice including nursing education, urgent care, pain management, internal medicine, and telemedicine. Through her diverse training experiences along with personal hardships, Carey has realized the need for quality mental health care that is personable, accessible, and free of judgement. She is passionate about breaking the social stigma surrounding mental health, and strives to provide each of her clients with the same amount of care and compassion they need to achieve their highest quality of life possible. In her free time, you can find Carey outdoors on the playground with her 3 children and 3 dogs, watching/reciting 90s comedy flicks, and casting a fishing-line whenever she gets the chance!
