Brenda Galvez NP, hopes to be able to educate and inspire her patients to take control of their health to the best of their abilities. Having a mental illness chronic or acute can be devastating, educating patients on how to live a longer and healthier life can give them power over their illness. She wants her patient’s to understand they can be active participants in treating their mental health.
She has been a nurse for over ten years and has recently graduated as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in many different areas of nursing including postpartum, labor and deliver, post operative nursing care, and cardiac intermediate unit. Throughout her NP program she was given the opportunity to have an internship that provided additional classes and education that was invaluable. She has two young sons, who are very active and keep her on her toes, and she loves to cook and bake in her free time.
