Brea is a board-certified nurse practitioner who has be trained in psychiatric-mental health.
She was raised in an urban community that often dismissed the idea of seeking mental health services due to the fear of judgment and/or mental illness being viewed as a weakness. She wanted to change this mindset and educate those in her community that seeking mental health services is not something for someone to be ashamed of. She has always had a passion for mental health which led her to obtain a minor focused in psychology while in undergraduate nursing school. She furthered her education and completed nurse practitioner school with honors. While working as a nurse practitioner in her community, she realized that she wanted to have more of an impact in her community by providing care focused in mental health. Therefore, she returned to nurse practitioner school and received additional training in psychiatric-mental health. She is a very compassionate and non-judgmental provider who aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health by educating her community about mental health resources and providing holistic patient care. Brea believes that seeking mental health treatment should be no different from someone seeking treatment for a physical injury or illness.
Brea considers herself to be very down-to-earth and people friendly. She is also a wife and mother who loves to binge watch Netflix shows and travel in her spare time.
