Bolanle "Bola" Ahazie is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She started her nursing career on a medical/surgical unit where she managed care of patients with neurological problems, such as stroke and traumatic brain injury, that often resulted in complex mental and behavioral health problems. She delivers individualized and holistic care to her clients through inter-professional collaborations, incorporating medication management, psychotherapy and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. She provides psychiatric services to clients of all ages, and some of her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, insomnia, bipolar, schizophrenia and substance use disorder. She has worked in diverse settings such as telepsychiatry, acute inpatient psychiatry, outpatient clinics, a center for the developmentally challenged ,and home care as an administrator. Her career experiences as well as personal experiences continue to spark her passion in mental health care where she never fails to remind her clients that they are worthy and capable of living fulfilling lives. In her free time, you can find her spending time with family, counseling youths and attending music concerts.
