ABOUT Augusta C. Anyama

Augusta Anyama is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.” Augusta started her career working in various intensive care units from 1991-2008. She then transitioned into leadership as well as supervisory roles.
Augusta was affected by Mental Health/Substance use disorder. Someone close to her has battled the illness for over twenty years. In 2017, a close friend encouraged her to look into Mental Health Nurse Practitioner School. Telling Augusta “You need to understand the illness better” Augusta agreed with her friend and completed PMHNP in 2020 and that was awakening.
Augusta completed Associate degree nursing from San Jacinto College in Pasadena Texas in 1991. Bachelorette degree in nursing in 1994 from University of Texas Health Science in San Antonio. Master's in nursing informatics in 2016 from Grand Canyon University and Post Masters degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes Barrie University in Pennsylvania in 2020.Her personal experiences dealing with a close person with duo diagnosis of Mental illness and Substance use disorder for over twenty years plus her years of nursing experience have ignited a passion to provide access to affordable, quality mental health care no matter where a patient may be located In her free time, you can find her in the gym in a spin class or alone cycling and or swimming. She also likes her quite moments in the chapel in presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
