Anitra Smith is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She started her nursing career working as a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, in an acute care hospital in 1998. Anitra went on to transfer to the mental health hospital of the same organization in 2019. She then went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing. She has worked on every unit in the behavioral health hospital, including crisis triage. She currently runs the mood disorder unit at the facility. Her training experiences and exposure to many individuals who are in desperate need of quality mental health care have made her passionate about providing access to quality mental health care services. In her spare time, you can find her participating in yoga, and spending time with her family.Gender
