Andrew Hewitt joins Cerebral having completed his MSN from Walden University. He worked in inpatient care for several years as a registered nurse, on a crisis stabilization unit for adults, and geriatrics. He has a history of compassion and empathy, which he attributes to his grandmother. She is also who he credits with his passion for cooking. Andrew worked as an EMT and Paramedic for a local ambulance service before becoming a nurse. His passion for mental health care came after caring for his father, a Vietnam Veteran, who suffered from PTSD. He tells us that he wants to help bring men’s mental health awareness to the light as it is often something most men will not discuss.
