Amy Taylor Avery, CRNP, is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. She started her career as an Emergency Department Nurse in Washington D.C, and Baltimore, Maryland. After receiving her BSN at the Medical College of Virginia, she went to further pursue her graduate education at George Mason University as a Nurse Practitioner and received her Master's degree in Nursing (M.S.N). She worked in various clinical environments during her career including: the Emergency Department, Private Practice, Federally Funded Health Centers, and Academic Medical Centers including Penn State University Hershey Medical Center where she taught both medical students and graduate students of Nursing and Johns Hopkins University Medical Center - where she pursued a doctoral degree. Her clinical interests are depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, grief reaction, dual diagnosis, and bipolar disorder. In her free time she likes to travel, read, and spend time with her friends and family.
