Alyssa is a board certified nurse practitioner. She started her healthcare career at the young age of 17 working in a nursing home as an aide. She later went on to complete her nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse in many diverse settings such as the emergency room, clinics for the medically underserved, doctor's offices, children's camps and in the hospital. She completed her master's degree in nursing in 2019 and has been working as a nurse practitioner since. Growing up and working in rural Indiana has made Alyssa all to aware of the barriers many of her patients face when trying to access quality health care. Working with Cerebral allows her to meet her patients wherever they are and work together to find the best plan for them. In her free time, you can find Alyssa at the gym, outside in the garden, cooking up something new in the kitchen or just lounging with her two cats, Spicy and Iggy.
Staying positive doesn't mean you have to be happy all the time. It means that even on hard days, you know that there are better ones coming. - Unknown
