Alyssa Spingola is originally from New Mexico where she attended the University of New Mexico for her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology. After graduating from the University of New Mexico, Alyssa worked in an adolescent residential treatment center for two years working with youth solidifying her decision to become a nurse practitioner. Alyssa later attended Seattle University’s College of Nursing where she received her BSN and worked in a HIV research clinic. She then obtained her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Washington in the family nurse practitioner track. After nurse practitioner training, she worked in a women health’s clinic and then in primary care at a community clinic. She has been practicing as a family nurse practitioner for over 16 years with special interest in adolescent health and mental health. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family, reading, running, watching movies, and drinking coffee.
