Winona earned a Master's of Science in Psychology with a focus on Individual, Couples, and Marriage and Family Therapy. She uses a collaborative conversational approach to therapy and integrates different techniques according to the needs of her clients and what works best for them. Some of the techniques include ACT, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. She has worked on a wide array of issues including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and ADHD. She believes that every client is the expert in their own life and has the skills and strengths within them to achieve happiness. By building a therapeutic relationship with her clients, she helps them to develop those skills and strengths, discover their values, and achieve their goals. She takes a non-hierarchal, non-judgmental stance and creates a safe space, where she teaches healthy coping skills and helps them navigate through life’s stressors. Winona is a wife and mother of four children, she loves the ocean and is a paranormal buff who enjoys watching ghost story marathons.
