Vanessa Rea holds a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of West Florida. As a former therapist and social worker, she has first-hand experience working with diverse populations, including those experiencing homelessness, trauma and abuse victims, and individuals struggling with addictions. She has also helped adults and adolescents cope with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Vanessa focuses on the use of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), including various coping skills such as mindfulness, goal-setting, skills training, and emotion regulation, to bring about a positive impact as a Care Counselor. Vanessa believes that everyone should have the opportunity to obtain the help they need, and feels passionately about the role she would play to help someone in their journey towards healing. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar and singing, collecting houseplants, crocheting, and family camping trips.
