Toya Nix holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her experience includes providing mental health services to survivors of sexual trauma and those affected by homicide. Toya provided emotional support for clients by accompanying them to appropriate law enforcement/medical agencies, and judicial proceedings. She uses goal-setting, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and relaxation tools to aid in coping mechanisms. In addition, Toya was a volunteer mental health provider with Red Cross during Hurricane Katrina. She strives to utilize her nearly fifteen years of experience to promote positive changes in the lives of clients. In her free time, Toya enjoys watching college football and HGTV and going bargain shopping.
