ABOUT Susan (Michele) Domingue

Michele Domingue holds dual master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology from Capella University, and has over ten years of experience counseling and working with adolescents and adults, as well as working closely with children. She has firsthand knowledge of the debilitating effects that mental health can sometimes have in life. Witnessing and counseling others with a variety of mental health needs such as anxiety and depression led her to understand that if we can remove the barriers that keep clients from being their most amazing self, then we can free clients to live the life dreamed of. She encourages mental skills such as: mindfulness-based activities like grounding and imagery as well as use of deep breathing to reduce symptoms. She uses a triad approach to counseling using a combination of CBT, DBT, and Solution focused strategies and techniques. Michele is passionate and committed about access to mental health in the community and educating first responders in the needs of the mental health community. In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time with her spouse, children, and pets, traveling to unique and interesting places around the world, and paranormal investigation.
