Shamariah has had a passion for helping others for as long as she can remember. As a result of this passion, she has achieved her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Dallas Baptist University, then obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Shamariah’s experience includes working with diverse populations of children and adults for over ten years, where she utilized empathy and various clinical modalities such as motivational interviewing, conflict resolution, mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), just to name a few. She is driven by her desire to help change the “status quo” when it comes to mental health, by normalizing acceptance for proper care in minority communities! She absolutely loves taking care of her three beautiful babies, handsome beau, and 10 yrs. old smooth coat Chihuahua, singing and working for the Lord, spending time with family, cooking, and just being a good friend with a shoulder to lean on! She believes that in all our ways acknowledge God, and he will direct your path.
