Scott Legerme has a Bachelor degree in Psychology & Communication from Rutgers University. He completed his Masters degree in Public Safety. As a youth/family Case Manager, Scott was able to help families navigate mental health resources within an individual's life circumstances. Scott’s enthusiasm for superheroes, especially Superman, drove Scott’s passion to helping others. His judgment-free mindset allowed him to help many individuals dealing with the challenges of anxiety, depression, family relationships, and many more. Scott’s experience includes helping youth and families within the community develop individualized plans that fit their needs, advocating for others in various settings ( schools, hospitals, courts, etc.), and helping people at their highest point of crisis in the inpatient psychiatric setting. Scott was a certified Nurture Heart trainer where he taught parents, juvenile detention staff, therapists, and many more the basic principles of the concept and how to implement them within their respective fields. One of the Nurtured Heart Approach’s main concepts is to energize the outcomes you want to see and give less energy to the outcomes you don't want to see. This approach is embedded within Scott’s core value system and allows him to work with various types of individuals with various types of exposure to mental health.
