Sarah Carlis has a Master’s in Social Work. She grew up in Guyana, South America, but has lived in America since she was in middle school. Due to Sarah’s experience growing up abroad, she strives to be culturally competent and believes it is important for all voices to be heard and for clients to play an active role in their treatment process. Sarah works well with all ages and is passionate about working with clients affected by trauma. She believes in a constant pursuit of knowledge and plans on becoming certified in trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy. Lastly Sarah believes that no one knows the client better than they know themselves, therefore she actively listens before applying her clinical knowledge to the individualized treatment process.
