ABOUT Rebecca Bailey

Rebecca Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Old Dominion University and is currently completing her Master's in Social Work at Norfolk State University. Rebecca has direct personal and professional experience in depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, grief, ADHD, substance abuse, LGBTQ+ identity development, and bipolar disorder; this inspired her to study it further and give a direct impact to the community. Professionally, Rebecca has gained several years of experience in the field of social services and mental health counseling since 2018 in criminal justice re-entry, LGBTQ+ housing, anger management, and behavioral health. She has experience teaching and practicing techniques including mindfulness, motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and distress tolerance to collaboratively identify and attain goals. Rebecca wants to experience, educate, and be educated on mental health.
