ABOUT Olivia A. Williams

Olivia is a Georgia native with a deeply personal investment and highly interdisciplinary background in the world of mental health; specializing in depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship counseling. Coming from a family background (and personal experience) of psychiatric struggles and substance abuse, she has a front-line, firsthand understanding of the myriad ways that both individuals and families are affected by these dynamics. Olivia channeled her passion for mental health reform in to her academic and professional life--she was the top of her class in college and graduate school, achieving two master's degrees, and studying at multiple institutions from her hometown college, to the University of Virginia School of Law (where she worked in public defense for neurodivergent individuals), to Oxford University in England. Olivia practices a strengths-based, humanistic model that embraces understanding of individuals as they exist in their familial, cultural, and societal dynamic. She believes in judgement-free, solutions-focused, trauma-informed work and is always willing to meet clients where they are to give them the best evidence-based supportive practice she believes all clients deserve.
