Naomi Correa, MSW, LSW is a licensed social worker with a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Most of her experience has been working in hospitals and outpatient clinics supporting people of all different backgrounds in their mental health goals. After watching her grandmother struggle through bipolar disorder without access to treatment, Naomi was eager to pursue an education in mental health to ensure that she could provide care to the people that need it most. She was also excited to connect to marginalized communities that may not feel represented or understood by mental health services, given her past experiences as a bisexual latina. She is passionate about understanding her clients and the worlds they live in as a way to personalize their mental healthcare to their unique needs. Naomi’s experience includes working with clients with chronic illnesses, communicating their needs to medical providers and managing their mental health using techniques like mindfulness, social skills training, stress management, de-escalation, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, identifying plants, baking, and crocheting!
Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. - Fred Rogers
