Michael Prince is a New York Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW #111266), supervised by Emily Waters (LCSW#087611). He received his Master of Social Work from The Silberman School of Social Work where he worked with youth and older adults through mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. He believes in a whole-body approach when it comes to our own mental health and well-being. His time as a social worker has shown that one of the main hindrances to a healthy mind is access to proper mental health care and medicine. It's imperative we get the care we need in the simplest way possible: by asking for it. Having that access opens a person's potential for change and growth in the ways that they see possible. He works to create an open atmosphere where people feel empowered to achieve the goals they set for themselves. In his spare moments, he can be found reading a classic novel, volunteering, rowing, or attempting circus feats.
Start where you are, see where you want to go, and always ask for help along the way.
