Do you struggle with BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) or BPD tendencies? Melody McKibbin can help! She has a Level II Certification in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) from The Association for Psychological Therapies and has received specialized training. She also holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University and has obtained her LMHCA License in WA and LPC-Associate licensure in TX (both under the supervision of Michael Bradford, LPC-S). She considers it an honor and a privilege to come beside you and help you lead a meaningful life, even with the challenges that BPD can bring. BPD has been highly stigmatized and one of Melody’s focuses is to de-stigmatize it and bring awareness and education to the diagnosis. DBT is an evidence-based skills-heavy approach that will challenge you to a new way of thinking. It was created by Marsha Linehan and created with BPD in mind. While Melody loves working with clients who struggle with BPD, she also has a focus with grief and loss, particularly on child loss.
When she is not taking care of clients, she can be found playing with her cats (Both Russian Blues), painting or doing jigsaw puzzles. Melody will provide Christian faith-based counseling upon your request.
