Maryam Edun holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Maryam’s background working with children as a therapist, teacher, and caregiver, helped her to develop useful mental health skills such as patience, empathy, active listening, and rapport building. Her passion for research and statistics led her to pursue a focus in research and encouraged her to seek out positions informed by evidence based practices. During Maryam’s experience as a family therapist, she applied many evidence based practices including Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Multi-systemic Therapy. As a social worker and compassionate care counselor, Maryam is dedicated to providing equal access to quality mental health care. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, crafting, and taking pictures.
