Malinda Torres earned her Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling from Gannon University and has additional training in Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Substance Abuse Treatment. She has over fifteen years of experience supporting individuals that struggle with mental health symptoms related to anxiety, bi-polar disorder, depression, difficult interpersonal relationships, personality disorders, substance use, and trauma. She often utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques during treatment, however she strongly believes that care must be personalized and will use skills from multiple modalities when needed. Throughout Malinda’s extensive history as a mental health professional, she has always strived to help others recognize their personal strengths and is dedicated to empowering her clients to achieve and maintain their goals. Her clients report positive feedback and reviews; stating that she genuinely cares about them, she is easy to talk to, and the support and guidance given is extremely helpful in managing their mental health symptoms. In her free time Malinda enjoys yoga and fitness activities, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
