Lauren Stracener-Matthews is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with over five years experience collaborating with individuals using an individualized, strengths-based approach to counseling. She utilizes holistic modalities focusing on the mind/body/soul connection, motivational interviewing to highlight individual experiences and values, and believes that every person has a unique background that requires person-centered plans for change. She earned a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The University of Memphis in 2017, and has since worked in multiple treatment settings including government social services as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, non-profit organizations, acute and residential facilities, and community-based organizations. In her free time, Lauren enjoys exploring nature, trying new foods, and spending quality time with her son.
