ABOUT Khwanhatai (Ploy) Achuka

Ploy Achuka received her Master of Social Work from The University of California at Berkeley. As an immigrant and a first generation college graduate; she has a deep understanding of what it was like to feel lost and all alone. Ploy’s experience includes talk therapy, trauma-informed counseling, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. She finds joy in helping young adults thrive through challenging life events; turning what may seems a never ending storm into endless possibilities to grow. Ploy strongly believes that understanding the connection one has with their environment, who they are, the reason behind their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is the key toward healing and resilience. In her free time, Ploy enjoys working out, cooking and trying to learn how to properly dance.

Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn't mean you have to do it alone. - Lisa Olivera
