Alyssa Baird holds a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas. As she grew up in a community where mental health was stigmatized, Alyssa saw the effects of untreated mental illnesses, and her interest in mental health care developed. Alyssa’s experience includes working alongside other mental health professionals to teach coping and behavioral skills to people with various mental illnesses. Alyssa utilizes aspects of therapeutic approaches such as, Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Trauma Informed Care. Alyssa strives to use her knowledge and passion to increase the accessibility of mental health care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new activities, and traveling.
