As an empathic and intuitive listener, Kelly assists and guides others on their journey towards wellness, happiness and being their best selves. Kelly holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education and a Bachelor’s of Science in Recreational Therapy from Western Carolina University. Her expertise as a Certified Recreational Therapist and Certified Brain Injury Specialist has helped her clients navigate anxiety, depression, and the varying emotions during neurological rehabilitation, behavior management, attention / cognitive retraining, communication skills, social skills, and functional independence skills training. Kelly’s work on an interdisciplinary team in acute inpatient rehabilitation involved assisting people of all cultures, religions, languages, and backgrounds in crisis during major, life altering events such as traumatic brain injuries and strokes. Kelly is passionate about helping people and breaking down the cultural and societal barriers limiting access to much needed mental health care; making a difference is what matters to her. Additionally, Kelly’s passions include her dog, photography, music, writing, nature, neurology, psychology, mindfulness, and energy medicine.
