Kathy Liu holds a Master of Arts and Master of Education degrees in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York.
She is an intuitive and empathetic listener, and passionate in making connections and building relationships. As a breast cancer survivor, she has also found new courage and depth to face hard issues. It's her privilege to walk alongside others through their life journey.
Her experience includes working with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, ADHD, mood disorders, multicultural issues, and relationship issues. She takes a holistic approach and uses a variety of techniques (eg. cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness) to help clients be their best selves. Kathy has worked with diverse populations: inner-city teen students, Asian-Americans living with mental illness, mothers of young children, women’s groups, and couples. Her faith is the framework for which she sees each person as unique in their God-given talents and abilities, worthy of love and respect.
Kathy enjoys family time with her husband, middle school and college-aged kids, making new friends and deepening old friendships, traveling, exploring different cultures, dancing, R&B music, and discovering the next great eats.
