Julie Rich holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and is currently attending a Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling program at Thomas University. As an immigrant and a veteran, Julie is not a stranger to mental health issues and how they can affect daily living. Her personal experiences surrounding the people around her strengthen her passion to promote mental health and wellness. Julie’s experience includes being a counseling intern at a non-profit organization, providing evidence-based and trauma-informed focused counseling as well as working with delinquent youths in the community. Julie utilizes a variety of techniques including goal-setting, cognitive restructuring, systematic desensitization, and mindfulness. Julie values authenticity and trust in a counseling relationship, making sure the clients can feel safe even in times of vulnerability. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her three dogs (Spock, Django, and Tuna), paddleboarding or kayaking, listening to crime podcasts, and going to weekend markets.
