Janessa Bointy earned a Master's degree in Education: Guidance and School Counseling, from the University of Central Oklahoma, where she also took additional graduate level courses in Substance Abuse Counseling in order to obtain a professional counseling license in the future. Janessa's experience includes facilitating individual and small group counseling to help individuals learn and acquire coping skiills to better manage anger, anxiety, transitions in life resulting from divorce and loss/grief, and also help teach communication skills in order for clients to become better advocates for themselves. Janessa strives to empower people by helping increase their hope and resiliency to improve their overall quality of life, and help them gain confidence in managing their own mental health and wellness. In her free time she enjoys karaoke, watching her four children participate in various sports and fine arts activities, and participating in community theater. She also loves scary movies!
