Jackie Lee (she/her/hers) is working towards her master’s degree in Counseling at Southern Methodist University, specializing in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy. Prior to grad school, Jackie worked for a behavioral healthcare company dedicated to improving treatment outcomes for patients. She has also previously worked at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Psychotherapy Research, where she studied depression at a community mental health clinic. She is a member of the American Counseling Association.
Jackie works with her clients from a holistic, multicultural, and biopsychosocial perspective. She takes into account her clients’ family and broader community, and the ways they have learned to cope with difficult emotions. She believes in the power of the stories that people tell themselves, and that each individual holds the answers he/she/they are looking for. She aims to serve as a collaborative catalyst for positive change.
When Jackie is not working as a Care Counselor, she can be found at the dog park with her Shiba Inu, trying out a new Indian food recipe, drinking nitro cold brew or a matcha latte, and binge-watching Schitt's Creek.
