ABOUT Hope Carter

Hope Carter holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University.

The road to a career in mental health wasn’t a straight path, but no matter the role the common thread was a genuine interest and care to see and hear the people around her.

Hope has a broad range of experience to include individual and couples counseling in a private practice setting, individual and group counseling in intensive-outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and as a program manager for residential programs for those living with severe mental illness. Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT) are part of her toolkit for well-being.

Hope encourages others to explore ways to find balance and strength in wellness.

Hope loves being a parent and watching her little one grow, practicing yoga and being in nature. She tries to focus her energy on the present and look for moments of gratitude (sometimes it’s tough!).
