Grecia Johnson obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. Having worked in the field professionally for over ten years, she has gained substantial knowledge in substance abuse, emotional disorders, conflict resolution, grief, Infant and early childhood mental health and minor and severe mental health challenges. Attesting to how individuals can have negative perceptions of themselves and how severely depressed a person can become, encouraged Grecia to pursue her field of study and thus made her into exuberant individual who is cultured in many aspects of mental health. Her experiences involve working in a psychiatric hospital and providing counseling in an in-home setting. By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness practice, Grecia is able to implement re-framing, goal setting, and positive-self talk to her clients. She has dedicated her profession in promoting mental health awareness by guiding others in identifying healthy coping mechanisms that are realistic and distinct to each individual. Grecia has many talents, but what she loves and enjoys most in her free is watching competitive dancing, writing self-help books, and spending quality time with her family.
Grecia is reminded daily that everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind Always. -Robin W.
