Grace Johnson (She/Her) earned her Bachelor of Art's degree in Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University in 2018, where she began learning about human development and counseling. Grace's early internship placements while volunteering at an animal shelter and a local counseling office where session's were observed. Recently, Grace earned a Master's of Science in Professional Counseling at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in 2021. At TAMUCC, she worked with the university's Counseling Training Clinic where counseling was provided to the community. Populations included families, couples, individuals, groups, and adolescents. Grace works with her client's by being transparent and introducing relevant coping skills needed for client success. Examples of skills include but are not limited to; coping skills for anxiety and depression, interpersonal and intrapersonal communication skills to reduce negative self-talk and/or social conflicts, and using non-judgement to encourage safe exploration of personal values and core beliefs that are influencing current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
